Multi-award winner: 2006 HOBI Award Winner - The Home Builders Association of Connecticut named this new home as the best Energy Efficient and Green Home of the year. 2008 Most Intriguing Residence in Connecticut - the Connecticut Green Building Council selected this home for their annual award. The house walls and roof were built using structural insulated panel (SIP) technology which results in an extremely air-tight and thermal bridge-free house with high levels of insulation. The house faces due south and benefits from passive solar heat gain during the cold months. The 3.6kw photovoltaic panels generate power for the home and to sell back to the electric utility.
