Unit A is an antique home of unknown vintage, but certainly dating back to the late 1800’s, originally built with scavenged materials of mixed quality, including an old railroad rail! For this project, the house was completely gutted and re-built. This home is “green” for several reasons: 1) The extensive re-use of existing materials; 2) A downtown location within walking distance of shops and services; 3) High performance qualities that include energy efficiency, durability and minimal maintenance requirements.
