BPC was the builder for this compact condominium project in downtown Ridgefield, which featured the gut renovation of an antique home, which dates to the 1800’s; the conversion of a garage/apartment, which dates to the early 1900’s; and the construction of two new homes to the rear.
The site plan features numerous green measures including minimal lawn areas, and native, drought tolerant plantings. Excessive storm water from neighboring properties is managed by a tumbled concrete paver driveway which allows storm water drainage into a 12” deep bed of crushed stone, as well as a “rain garden” behind the new homes that features a porous soil mix and plantings that thrive in damp conditions.
