The foundation is a pre-cast insulated concrete stud wall system manufactured in nearby Poughkeepsie, NY. The foundation walls were installed in two days, which helped with the schedule. The stud cavities in the foundation wall, plus the XPS foam board insulation cast into the wall, will allow for a final overall, super-insulated, "R" value for the foundation walls of 48, at a relatively low cost.
