This is another BPC home seeking USGBC LEED status, anticipated to reach a certification level of gold. The home will feature high levels of insulation, an effective perimeter air barrier, a superior exterior drainage plane, structural insulated sheathing, reduced framing materials, engineered floor trusses, triple insulated windows, down-sized geothermal heating and cooling system, and instantaneous domestic hot water heating tempered by geothermal waste heat. Environmentally sensitive materials include FSC certified wood flooring, fiber cement siding and composite trim boards. Water-saving measures include low flow toilets, faucets, and shower heads, and rain water harvesting.
