BPC has been committed to green building ever since the company’s inception, almost ten years ago. We build and renovate high-performance green homes - period. Our projects incorporate traditional craftsmanship integrated with the latest advances in residential building science and green building strategies. BPC homes are beautiful. However, BPC homes are also healthy, comfortable, durable, energy efficient, and environmentally responsible.

We manage the entire construction process with our clients’ visions for their new or renovated homes in mind. The services that we offer are comprehensive, from start to finish. These services include:

• Preliminary design guidance – we participate in meetings with the homeowner and architect to determine the basic program elements for the green home. If the goal is a near-net zero energy home, then this becomes a critical planning step.
• Site assessment – we visit potential building sites to help assess how well each site matches up to the client’s program goals and to provide guidance regarding site work considerations.
• Preliminary budget guidance – once preliminary drawings are complete, we prepare detailed cost estimates to confirm budget feasibility and to assist with value engineering.
• Municipal approvals – we secure the required building permits as well as health and zoning permits, if they are required.
• Subcontractor selections – we recommend and help select from a small group of highly qualified subcontractors who are experienced with our construction strategies. The long-term relationships we have with these contractors help ensure high quality work, fair pricing, and favorable scheduling.
• Material selections – we help our clients select from among the many green options for foundation, framing, mechanical, and finish materials.
• Construction management – we manage, schedule, and supervise all subcontractor labor, place all materials orders, schedule deliveries, and perform all project accounting.
• Building inspections – we schedule all inspections and ensure compliance, leading to a final certificate of occupancy.
• Warranty repairs – we inspect each home to ensure satisfaction and to perform standard warranty repairs. We also cover performance-related repairs under the terms of our unique extended warranty.
